Isn't Dean McGillvary(sp) a full back? Also IIRC Lee Haney played at full back for the academy team in 2008

Haney at full back I'd say, he'll be solid there. Mcgilvary Clay Backhouse and Nixon on the wings so there cover at full back if needed and if you don't put a shift in you won't play. Lowe Larkin and Wiper to compete for centre spots. The pack is nearly there also. I feel we need a half back and some extra squad players and we'll be sorted for next season.

As a minimum we need to get Bull, Peds, Gordon and Liam Finch signed on asap and i'd like to see Nathan Mossop back as well.

Sounds like Ostler has already made up his mind to retire.

Another half back would be good as well but dont forget Finchy is a class act on his day in that position.

I would think mellor will get offered a contract with widnes since he has played with them alot of the year. But I am not too sure on pedley for next year I would prefer to see mossop, dandy, finch as our hookers

Peds is a class act and is easily our best hooker and acting half back....he was very very unlucky last year with injuries and I think he rushed back too soon after the shoulder problem.

Finchy should be in the halfs...all he lacks is a kicking game ... holty could teach him a thing or 2 there along with Campbell

I'm with you on this I think Peds has had his chance. He might be class when he's fit but that isn't happening. I'd much rather see Mossop rotating with Dandy.

Peds wasnt young player of the year in 2011 for nothing, think that when fit he will prove to be the best hooker we have in the squad, espcially behind the pack we are building for next season.

Wonder if we're going to bring in any over seas players this year? Says in the League Express that Workington have again advertised in Australia for potential players, as it is a way to potentially pick a talented player up on the cheap. Would a similar thing not be worth doing for the Raiders? maybe solve answer to our half back conundrum?

Here's an intriguing one for you off Twitter...

barramarr83: RT "@sean_casey: I have signed a one year deal at barrow raiders for next season. Bring on championship rugby league"

Not sure how true this is, or whether it's the same person, but Leeds have a Sean Casey in their Academy side...a 19 year old half back.

Nothing announced officially or in the press feeds yet

Excellent news if true, still disturbs me how we are still only handing ot 1 year deals, espcially when signing so many exciting youngters to our ranks. Wouldnt have minded 2 year contracts instead.
