No idea mate.

I'm hankering after a Gretsch 5120. My girlfriend says "go on. treat yourself" even though we're skint!

My bass hasnt been out of its flight case since I left Burton on Trent in 1998
One live performance, British Waterways works Xmas party at Stourbridge Bonded Warehouse
It was black and headless and I suspect, Hohner, but I cant quite remember
Its on the other side of the room about 12 feet away

Good choice (though a bit heavy for a weed with a bad back like me).
And you can never have enough guitars.

The headless ones were Steinberger or Hohner. The latter was a licenced budget version of the former, made with wood instead of carbon fibre.

Not quite so unbalanced as some basses as dont have a big chunk of wood and tuning keys at the end

Bit odd when youre fretting down towards where the head should be and ther isnt one!

Maybe should get it outs of its case, and reveal to sunlight after all the passed years, like Tutenkahmun

I like the look of the Steinberger with the minimalist body. Probably a good thing for portability, too.

On the other hand, a bass (or guitar) with a full size body and no headstock looks wrong to me.

Telecasters have got to be the nicest looking guitars. Perhaps it is because that they were one of the first of their kind and so popular but no other guitar looks as good IMO.
