An article about sportsmen and injuries by Tanya Aldred, following on from Paul Wood's injury. Very positive references to the great game included:-

http://www.telegraph...ll-of-Pain.html

This was on the back page of the sport section in the hard copy.

I liked this bit:-"These huge men, rooted in their communities, are the most undervalued players in the British sporting pantheon. And hewn as they are from their industrial past, they are probably the toughest of all." A bit of a journalistic cliche in there but certainly a positive take on the game from her and she seems to have seen a few games which helps.

Jolly good.

The last bit, about Paul Diogo - now that's some harsh refereeing! :o

Between the optimist & the pessimist
The difference is quite droll:
The optimist sees the doughnut,
The pessimist sees the hole.

Didn't some RL coach do that this year or last?

Jumped over a fence & got his (edit: Wedding) ring caught on the fence, & Pulled his finger off?

Terry Matterson. Didn't get a card for it, though.
