Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Moorends Vs Knottingley off, Waterlogged pitch

I know it's rained heavy over the last two nights here but it's surprised me as it's been playable all year.

Did you drop any concrete during the refurbishment of the ground?

also the trees you took down would have taken up a lot of water?

might need looking at.

I still remember when we were all amateurs, working together for the good of the game - for no pay!!!

The water is on the other side of the ground,

About a foot down there are 4 or 5 x 20 metre x 5 metre concret slabs where there once was a childrens play area, we believe this and the water table being full is the reason and obviously the amount of rain we've had over the last two days, we had a sump drain dug at the end of last season in that area and up to this week it had been working a treat.

As for stopping summer, no thanks we've been able to put two teams out running from a pub and thats with constantly taking between 6 and 10 players from the 2nd team, this week we would have probably had our best team out of the season with 5 players coming back into the side and 2 more missing due to injury.
