I had the fortune (good or otherwise) to be at school with him, I forget the actual lead up to it but I did reach the point of having a hand (or possibly hands) round his throat and a swift right jab to the chest followed.
This follows a family tradition, my father was at University with Bamber Gascoigne and punched him. He is equally vague on the detail.

Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Surely you don't mean the "Footlights College" team?Funny to think that the panel on there are now very very famous yet were just extras then.
For a start, "Kendal Mintcake" co wrote the series and I think the rest were reasonably well established actors.
They were hardly picked from the crowd.

Yeah I did mean them. Elton co-wrote it yes but at the time of broadcast hardly anyone knew who Fry & Laurie were, much less Emma Thompson.
