York-based National Conference League Division 2 club Heworth ARLFC has an opportunity for a first team Head Coach.

A level two Rugby League coaching certificate and commitment to future training is essential and an appropriate Criminal Records Bureau check will also be completed.

Responsibilities include training and selecting the team competing in the NCL and support with the second open age team.

Got massive respect for this club and its players.

Often finish bottom of the league and are on the receiving end of heavy results most weekends.

However they turn up week in and week out and give 100%.

Some of the so called bigger clubs should take a leaf out of their book.

I hope they find a coach who can turn their fortunes around.

Its a shame really, it was only a couple of years ago that the were promoted from div 2 (may even have won it) but then a few results went against them n players jumped ship.

I apologize u was correct the must of been the season paul newlove n chris smith took over, i dont think they have won a game since gettin promoted tho maybe promotion came at a price (pardon the pun)
