The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Yet another excellent signing by our board of directors. I hope that we, the fans, can spread the word and get friends and family back through the turnstiles to show our support for their hard work. Come on Town.
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Yes that's a great point . We're always talking and concentrating on the team , but the support that team gets next year is just as important .

Is this the best BOD we've had or what? All our top players from last year signed up including top amateurs like Rooney and Phillips, and now Dowes .
He's exactly what we need , with Coward, Mattinson, Thackray, Stack , Phillips, Olstrum and hopefully Peterson that's a pack that can compete next year. Obviously we need a lot more bodies but any half-decent halfback should be able to play behind them, and i don't mean Forber. The lad didn't let us down but he's a reasonable NL2 player and no more.
Anyway .. top signing!
