Interesting topic on 5Live this morning about how football is pricing out the fans in favour of customers.

Prices can be found here.

One of the interest facts was the average age of the football fan is increasing as younger fans are priced out. A 16 year old for example has to pay full price.

The main comparisons were made with the Bundesliga where tickets for Bayern could be got for 15 euros, but they could still compete in Europe. How, why?

Apparently the answer lies in the model the Brits use; i.e businesses running sports clubs, which is creating huge disaffection with the fans who feel more and more exploited. Revenue seems to be more important than giving fans a club to identify with.
