Interesting topic on 5Live this morning about how football is pricing out the fans in favour of customers.
Prices can be found here.
One of the interest facts was the average age of the football fan is increasing as younger fans are priced out. A 16 year old for example has to pay full price.

RL prices are bloody cheap.

RL prices are bloody cheap.
They are but dramatically less so than say 10 years ago.

Yes they've increased but are still reasonable, sometimes ridiculously so.They are but dramatically less so than say 10 years ago.

The main comparisons were made with the Bundesliga where tickets for Bayern could be got for 15 euros, but they could still compete in Europe. How, why?
Apparently the answer lies in the model the Brits use; i.e businesses running sports clubs, which is creating huge disaffection with the fans who feel more and more exploited. Revenue seems to be more important than giving fans a club to identify with.

Bayern is BIG BUSINESS but that does not suit the BBCs agenda as you can read here.
According to Wikipedia, Bayern was the fourth richest club in the world in 2011, generating revenues of €321.4 Million. both Audi and Adidas own part of the company. Adidas acquired its shares in 2002 for €77m. The money was designated to help finance the Allianz Arena. Bayern's main advertising partner and current holder of the jersey rights is Deutsche Telekom.] The main supplier of the club is Adidas. The premium partners include Paulaner Brewery, Audi, Coca-Cola,Lufthansa, Samsung and Yingli Solar. Classic sponsors include Siemens, Burger King, Ebel, Fitness First, The LEGO Group, Schaeffler Group, s.Oliver, Continental, Viagogo, Trentino, Thomas Sabo and Sheraton Hotels and Resorts.
the club's brand value has reached $786 million USD which is up 59 percent from the previous year. Among European teams this is ahead of Real Madrid's $600 million USD and behind first place Manchester United whose brand is valued at $853 million USD.
you can see ticket prices here : http://www.fcbayern....sliste12_13.pdf
The 15 € ticket are standing tickets.
large numbers of ticket at 70 €, too.
