.Following on from the signing of Ewan Dowes earlier this week, Workington Town are pleased to announce the signing of 20 year old former Wigan Warriors and Oldham forward Jamie Acton.
The London born prop, an ex England and BARLA international, is a welcome addition the excellent forward pack that town have already assembled for the coming season.
Acton signed for Oldham early last season and went on to make a number of appearances, earning fantastic reviews in his first season in Championship One.
Vice Chairman Mark Fryer said "Jamie had an excellent season with Oldham, and our own players can testify what a handful he was in our games against them. Jamie could have a great career ahead of him, and fits perfectly within our plan to assemble a squad containing a mixture of youth and experience for the forthcoming season.
