The minor bill turned into a major bill. The minor bill was for around £15/16K, and then HMRC got wind of the winding up order application and joined in for a cool £150K. In any winding up order the HMRC get paid first.
1/ Footnote: Salford have paid the minor bill, but HMRC are still continuing with the winding up order. Time for a RFL bail out I think!!!!
2/ Footnote: Wakey now in same boat, has the RFL got enough bailout money?

I've lost track.
Are we at the stage where RFL own spotland and odsal, have bailed out a long list of expantionist clubs, and are likely to be owed money to Salford and Wakey.
If there was a fit and proper person ownership xriteria, they'd fail it!!!
Proof that the closed shop is useless, it encourages over spending.
Relegate them and leave it to market forces.

Why are the RFL likely to be owed money by Salford and Wakefield?

I was replying to the Barons excellent point. Why are the RFL likely to be owed money by Salford and Wakefield?
We know the RFL, Its not inconceivable that Wakefield and SAlford would get some help. I'd put my house on it.

Maybe. But as Salford are about to be taken over, and wakefields owner, whilst by no means a sugar daddy, is no bankrupt business man, I'd personally expect both clubs to clear their debts without RFL aid.
