Does anyone know if the N&S are to hold a Town player of the year award this year, seeing as WE are holding a presentation night shortly ;) , I would have thought our local rag would have published something by now or have I missed something, I am sure we could muster a few more votes than our beloved friends 13 votes :D :D , heard Rooney voted for himself   .

Probably not it would require some effort and promotion on the part of the fanzine

I asked this question, in a roundabout way, on the Haven forum and I got a PM telling me that the N & S would be doing one for Town Player of the Year in time for the Presentation Evening on 3rd November with the same time to vote period as the Haven club fans had.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

Make sure you vote, the bloke said they would stop doing it, if they didn't get many votes, was tryIng to hold the Haven Forum to ransom over the poor response. Can't reckon much of his readership and distribution, if he has to do that.

The bloke seems to have a very big ego!
