I watched the first episode last night. It was pretty good stuff - an extensive nostalgia trip, anyway.

The first subject was Barry McGuigan. Next week, Gareth Thomas, with Lawrence Dallaglio, Dame Kelly Holmes, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Brian Lara to follow, amongst others. Eight programmes in all.

One of the best programs I've seen in a long time, He was very lucky not to be executed travelling into the Shankhill to train.
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Just watched the Fabrice Muamba episode. Well worth watching a repeat or on ITV player.

Just watched the Fabrice Muamba episode. Well worth watching a repeat or on ITV player.

Aye, watched it myself. Very emotional at times, as you might expect.

Remarkable bit for me was the consultant cardiologist who just happened to be in the crowd, who's speciality was restarting hearts that have stopped, and who eventually managed to pursuade the stewards to allow him on the pitch to help.

And he was only there because a relative couldn't attend.

I've not got a religious bone in my body but sometimes you just think some things were meant to happen.
