Big ol pack of bruisers Baloo is forming, very much a homage to his Bulls days under Noble.
And with Lunt back directing traffic they could be quite a force. Look forward to it.

Only for it to all go wrong mid season. ;)

Not now N. Brown has gone.
Can't see Anderson being a tinkerer.

Nice big pack. Something we totally lacked last season.

The Giants have had a fairly big set of props previously, with Griffin, Mason and Cracbtree. N Brown changed direction for last season, with Griffin leaving, although being unable to sign a decent replacement prop might have been a factor in that, rather than it being design.

Playing a world record number of hookers is another matter though. :o

Kopczak's signing may mean that Keith Mason is on his way, if the rumours are correct.

It's funny how at the start of SL there appeared to be a move to having a team full of 2nd rowers, whereas I now like the fact that the big forwards seem to have more of a place.

A big pack driving the hard yards has always been effective, and still is. That's why the likes of Peacock and Morley can still be effective in the current game.

Though Mason himself has confirmed he is remaining a giant next season

Twas rumoured he was going to Les Catalans. He can barely speak English, so French and Catalan might be a problem. :)

The game plan worked well enough against Leeds this season

Big problem is the game plan they were asked to follow and the lack of forwards to lay the platform.

true it worked against a team who were so far off the game oulton raiders could have got a result against them and im not sure but i dont think the game plan was to get a man sent off .

i still see the giants halfs as individual talents but not real team players who can organise the way the team plays from week to week . maybe with lunt returning there will be better decision making from around the play the ball that creates more space for the halfs to organise rather than just play off the cuff rugby

You don't top the table after a dozen games playing off the cuff.

When the giants were winning it was well structured and balanced, then Brown tinkered so we had to play off the cuff and it failed. Spectacularly.

lets not get into early season form lets face it the season before harliquins were near the top after the first half dozen games . giants even early on were showing signs of panic football in games and as soon as he pressure built up they fell apart . browns dithering did not help but the signs were there that they were playing to loose and not making the correct decisions due to a lack of a leader . question is who is the leader on the pitch for huddersfield ?
