"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
"Imagination is more important than knowledge."
"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."

Seems to be confirmation now that Lupton just needs gym strengthening work and no op . Great news for him and us, as we all said we want to see him fully revved up from an offseason . Hope his luck is changing and he hits the ground running , class is permanent.

Wonky all season town fans have been going how about how ###### haven are.how we had a team full of lancs reserves, how our coach was rubbish and had only coached kids and how all our players were at odds with each other and the coach. At the same time all we got was town were fantastic team, best in the league team full of superstars.Given all this you won one more game than us and more to the point you superstar winger scored what 28/29 try's while our very poor Calvert in a very poor team scored 26 so tell me who under performedWhat you talking about calvert is the greatest winger if all time isn't he?

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

We did however bear you five times, or does that not count? While a couple of the defeats at the end of the season which stopped us winning the league were caused by a horrendous imjury list. Still we'll see next season who will be the strongest, you keep thinking you are close to us if it makes you feel better.

Not quite......... you forgot to take into account the Ike Southward match and the playoff match as well... which means we won 3 more games than you against opposition from Championship One.
Haven fans claims of "only" losing one more match than Town is just Haven fans trying to make their season look good when the reality is they were pretty poor compared to Donny, Barrow and Town.

I think the main difference between the sides is Town had a great season & Haven had a ###### season (according to their fans). Town were in it to the end with an horrendous injury list spoiling what could have been an outstanding season, Haven were never in it from the start. One win in the end, but they were always playing catch up. The matches between our teams this year tells the story.Wonky all season town fans have been going how about how ###### haven are.how we had a team full of lancs reserves, how our coach was rubbish and had only coached kids and how all our players were at odds with each other and the coach. At the same time all we got was town were fantastic team, best in the league team full of superstars.Given all this you won one more game than us and more to the point you superstar winger scored what 28/29 try's while our very poor Calvert in a very poor team scored 26 so tell me who under performed
