Not at all, as I said I wasn't there but from what i've been told Higginshaw gave as good as they got - which you obviously acknowledge as you've said Thatto Heath "got their comupance". For the record I hope the injured player recovers quickly.

sounds like you was disappointed at not playing a 'new team with players new to the game and a few who had not played for numerous years'.

Not really kid I couldnt care less who we play against I turn up for the fun and the enjoyment as do all the Higgy lads after numerous season of struggling to keep a float and then losing players as they decided to play summer (which is their choice and left with best wishes from the club) but make no mistake after losing quiet often it's nice to be winning !!!!

Some good wins at the weekend has set this league alight,great result by thatto against top of the league irlam it was also great to see Eccles put a team out with a few old boys and a bear 13 they did there club proud. Very clinical display from Higgy scoring some exciting tries.

Widnes Tigers 16-16 Thatto Heath Crusaders

Fair result in the end. Heath infront 16-4 at one point and 16-10 at HT. Tigers battled back well to stay in it, played the pitch and conditions a little better in the 2nd half to earn the draw.

Thatto Heath will always find a good team to face Irlam Hornets Mr Old shool. Many years ago it was one of the bitterest rivalries in amateur rugby league. All the players are different but the rivalry is clearly still there. Eccles should have a better team out this week. If we could get our players back who have moved to other clubs over the last 2 years we would have a very good side.

This legue is very entertaining some good results, lots of big clashes in the next few weeks and with teams losing some players to other summer clubs it will be interesting to what results happen

Thatto Heath 56-4 Leigh East

East had a young side that dug in well against a much bigger and more physical Heath outfit. Some good performances on both sides with Brad Roden, Conner Johnson and MOM Ryan Hughes standing out for East and Paul Hunt, Warren Thompson and Sean Davies the pick of the Heath lads. A tough game played in good spirits.
