With the season's fixtures coming out in around four weeks time,does anyone know how many teams will be relegated from the championship next year,will it be a top six or eight play off ? Was there going to be a meeting with the rugby league and chairmans to work this out.It can only happen in our sport that we don't know what's happening in our sport from one season to the next,don't get me started on squad numbers

It's a bit early yet, cant see it being sorted for about 3 or 4 months.

What do you reckon to squad numbers andy ?

1-17 is the way to go,will never get used to seeing players getting numbers in the thirty's and more.while i'm at it,wish we can get back to two points for a win,one point for the draw,you should never get rewarded for losing the game by 12 points or less,super league didn't get round to using it,so why should us,and my old fav,team who finish first,should go up to the next league

Well back in the old amateur days, the captain baggsed the shirt that had the least holes in - if you were a prop and it happened to be yours, hard lines. Used to be quite amusing watching a prop trying to get a torn scrum half's shirt on - If it was good enough then ......

Yes, somebody knows. The trick is to find out who that someone is before August next year.


Seriously the RFL are desperately hoping that other clubs will emerge with applications for CC1 for season 2014 to take them to 12 members.. This way they might be able to instigate some form of P&R between the CC divisions taking facilities and club structures into account. Clearly, as it stands at present the prospect of relegation from our division is something of a nightmare situation.

May well go back to two twelves when it dawns on club directors how crowded the season is going to be.
