When I read about Rochdale's long tradition of recruiting Fijian players I always think of that great photo of Apesia Toga in the Eddie Waring Book Of Rugby League.

Rochdale Observer on Apesia Toga. Died tragically young, though. :(

Positive words from Rochdale there.

Any word on how Matt Calland is doing with the youth development?

extends into the amatuer ranks...great fun being smashed by a Figian in NWC Div 6 when they'd been in the Fiji World Cup training squad a year before!

Well, he's not been there very long, but as he has coaching links to Hopwood Hall College and England Students, he's pretty well placed.
