When I read about Rochdale's long tradition of recruiting Fijian players I always think of that great photo of Apesia Toga in the Eddie Waring Book Of Rugby League.
Rochdale Observer on Apesia Toga. Died tragically young, though.

That's the one!Rochdale Observer on Apesia Toga. Died tragically young, though.
I knew he was no longer with us. I didn't realise he died so young.

Any word on how Matt Calland is doing with the youth development?
Well, he's not been there very long, but as he has coaching links to Hopwood Hall College and England Students, he's pretty well placed.
