Well, you probably do.

But have you spent 40 years taking pictures of it?

Probably not.

But Tom Wood has and he has an exhibition at the Photographers' Gallery in London village that is well worth checking out should any of you be heading this way now that Danny Baker no longer has a radio show here.

Love the "Not Miss New Brighton" photo; sums up that era in northern England.

"There are now more pandas in Scotland than Tory MPs."

Liverpool in the 80's was worse than Bradford is today in terms of run down shops etc.

No I don't care if you're if you're into different bands

No cause for so much hatred, I'm just a different man

Pull off that cover, I will too, and learn to understand

With music deep inside we'll make world unity our plan

As kids in the 1950s, a trip to New Brighton by train and then ferry was a mega day out. Fond memories of the fairground, swimming and packed beach.
