Love the "Not Miss New Brighton" photo; sums up that era in northern England.

Liverpool in the 80's was worse than Bradford is today in terms of run down shops etc.

As kids in the 1950s, a trip to New Brighton by train and then ferry was a mega day out. Fond memories of the fairground, swimming and packed beach.
