The students were probably the better side for the first 60 mins with the Marlins not really hitting their best form.
It was not until Northumbria took the lead for the first time on 60 minutes that the Marlins began to show any signs that they actually wanted to win the game. The students lead only lasted 2 minutes when the Marlins draw level and the last 18 minutes of normal time was end to end with both sides having tries dissallowed and both seeing drop goal attempts go wide. When extra time started it was the Marlins that took control and scored the winning try 4 minutes into extra time. All credit to Northumbria Uni who are a good side with some very good players.

Scrappy game, Underbank very undisciplined.
