Connor McQuade of the Rhode Island Rebellion RLFC ate 12 wiener hotdogs on Man v Food Nation yesterday evening on Food Network UK, unfortunately the challenge was to eat 15 in 45 minutes.
He was described by host Adam Richman as a "semi-pro rugby hero" on the show (no distinction of league or union) but it did give his club half an hour of exposure on tv in the USA (and around the world).

Can anyone suggest a similar challenge for a league player in England?

Sam Tomkins v pie ?
Tim Street v lobby ?

Garry Schofield v Sour Grapes?

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore

"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

My apologies..... The whole team was there supporting him and they had shirts with the league logo on, on second looking it says the USARL. Thanks Homer!
Proper League shirts though, with vees on the front!
