Good news for Workington! £350,000 funding has been secured.

Whitehaven's failure to deliver their stadium has cost the town dearly in the expected revenue boom from the WC games

On the other hand, it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good and Workington have reaped the rewards of Whitehaven councils failure. Good luck to them.

Will they be taking the signs down in the dressing rooms asking speedway riders not to practice starts on the pitch?

Ha, ha, and when did you last visit the town? It now has a thriving town centre if you read some of the other stories in the newspaper link to this story. Now then what can we say about Barra..... hmmmmmm.

My wife and I came for the weekend when we played you this year.
We had a great weekend which included a hospitality package for the game. We were made most welcome by the club and yes, we enjoyed our stay.
I would recommend a visit to anyone.
