LONDON SKOLARS ANNOUNCE CAPITAL CHALLENGE 2013 SPONSORS – BOOST ETP AND NASDAQ OMX GLOBAL INDEXES

London Skolars Rugby League is delighted to announce that the 9th annual Capital Challenge match between Skolars and London Broncos, to be played on 11 January 2013, will be sponsored jointly by Exchange Traded Product (ETP) provider Boost ETP and NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes. The Boost ETP and NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes Capital Challenge will be held in the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC), in the heart of the City of London.
Boost ETP was launched on 31 October, becoming the latest entrant in the ETP market and is one of only a few independent issuers in Europe. In a market dominated by large investment banks and diversified financial institutions, significant questions are being asked about their respective ETP business models. As a result, innovation has slowed and is expected to slow further due to funding cuts and banks’ requirements to reduce staff numbers and non-core assets. This has left a significant opportunity for an independent, nimble and focused player such as BOOST.
Commenting on the Capital Challenge sponsorship agreement Boost’s Co-CEO Hector McNeil said,“We are very excited to become co-sponsors of this prestigious sporting event alongside a global leader such as NASDAQ OMX. The ‘BOOST & NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes Capital Challenge’ is a great way for us to announce ourselves in the square mile. The HAC is a fantastic venue and is probably the most valuable rugby pitch in the world in real estate terms. We look forward to welcoming potential BOOST investors to a great day out in the City”.

NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes, part of The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc., has been creating market-leading, transparent indexes for more than 40 years. Today, the company’s index offering covers geographies and asset classes and includes diverse index families. Today, NASDAQ OMX Indexes are used in over 8000 products with approximately $1.1T in Notional Value in 24 countries.
John Jacobs, Executive Vice President, The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc., commented, “We are thrilled to partner with Boost ETP to sponsor a great game at one of the most iconic pitches in the world. NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes views Boost as a significant partner in the Exchange Traded Product space, and we are excited to continue our relationship off the exchange and onto the field.”
This exciting new partnership will also see NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes become the main shirt sponsors for London Skolars in 2013.
The club’s General Manager Howard Kramer had this to say, “The Capital Challenge has grown year on year, and I am extremely pleased to welcome these two prestigious organisations on board as event sponsors. Boost ETP has recently launched as a company whilst NASDAQ OMX is a global name that most will be familiar with. The Capital Challenge attracts record numbers every year and with the news that Rugby legend Jason Robinson OBE will be our special guest speaker, there has been a surge in demand for match and pre-match luncheon tickets.”
Details of the Capital Challenge can be found by clicking here. Information on the pre-match luncheon can be obtained by contacting the London Skolars offices on 020 8888 8488 or e-mail info@skolarsrl.com.

I don't understand - do they provide cheap high interest loans, make beer or offer online betting services? <_<

The first and last for sure if it's The City, champagne rather than beer though.

Amazing, a big financial services organisation sponsoring a proper game of rugby...hope they do not become too confused by the novelty of knowing where the ball is, and seeing tries being scored. Lets hope the afternoon goes well and they become interested in putting more money into the game.
