RIP Big John a man i picked alot of knowledge up from, last spoke to him at Doncaster in pre season game last year, a real rugby league legend.

What a top bloke. I knew him well from his days at Doncaster and Hunslet - always had time to talk about the game and always talked sense.

I can only echo the words of Hawkeye and Number 9-- to me John was always a perfect gentleman.--- a MASSIVE help to David Plange, Roy Sampson, and Mark Cass when they were coaching.
Thanks for all you did for Hunslet John.

remember john playing at castleford when i was just a young un, him and Jack Hirst who sadly passed away last week would have been in the same cas team, sad times r.i.p. John
