I think it's vital that whenever stability in rugby league is threatened we change things.
Changing things every year is a noble tradition of our great game!

i disagree. i think widening the selection pool for the exiles game makes it more of a test and also creates way more interest. i also think the Celtic nations players would benefit from being involved in this.
how exactly??

i dont think its a change really. its just broadening the selection pool.
so it won't benefit the celtic nations players??
look....bringing back GB won't help the celtic players.....cos none of them would get selected....they'll just opt for england like they do now...and stillmiss out on selection.
making celtic players eligible for the exiles won't help cos a) it does'nt fit in with the exile cos they are'nt bloody exiles lol....and none would get selected anyway...
wales, scotland & ireland need to do whats best for THEM!, they need to knock their own heads together and come up with something that suits THEM!!...latching onto the exiles won't help...and latching on to england to form GB won't help cos any GB team will be made up of 17 englishmen..
a celtic tigers team for welsh, scots & irish players....that would tour and maybe play off with france for 4nations spots, the celtic nations would still compete separately in mid, post season games, would benefit the celtic nations....as well as helping the celtic nations retain & recruit players!
rant over

it appears that spud and i are on the same wave length, a combined celtic team would be great for the emerging nations, and give england a good work out at the same time.
celtic tigers v england.......
a team of players over looked, deemed not good enough for england....against england.......don't think the celts need any encouragement do you? lol
