EAMONN McManus won the Sports Leader of the Year Award at the Liverpool Post Leader of the Year accolades last night.
He was nominated for his work in bringing a new stadium to the area and beat off competition from the likes of Everton's David Moyes and Liverpool's Steven Gerrard.
The awards were held at the Museum of Liverpool in association with the University of Liverpool Management School and hosted by Gordon Burns.
