Alarm bells ringing here with this one. It seems like a practical way of stopping top class players from selling themselves as a product to another sport.
Wait though ...
I reckon rules is rules!
Pay one player in a squad unlimited amounts of money and what will that do to harmony within the playing squad?
We've got a great game here, some would say the best.
If someone thinks they are so good that they are better than the game and deserve more than is sensible to afford then I say let them go.
Like some of these 'stars' have found the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
The strength of the game in Oz is that when these big egos leave they are replaced with up and coming fresh talented players.
Maybe you'll disagree, but I say don't go down this path.
