Stephen Fry was asking about corporal punishment and eventually told a story of an old Etonian headmaster affectionately known as 'Flogger Keates'.
Apparently he found it necessary to flog the whole first eleven cricket team after losing a match, the funny bit, depending on who you are of course, was that he included the scorer in the floggings!!!
Poor lad!!

Indicates he got some perverted sort of pleasure out of it. Presumably Keates is now a member of the Liberal Democrat party, the House of Lords and holder of the Order of the British Empire.

Stiff upper lip old boy,presumably floggings weren`t the only thing one got at Public School!!
