I'm a little bored so thought I'd start a whimsy thread.
  • I love books, but not overly keen on reading*.
  • I'm possessive of language; it's not "barm" and it's not "zucchini".
Anyone else a bit odd?!

(*it seems a hindle is the opposite to a Kindle...)

Barm is perfectly fine. Bit rich a Yorkie moaning about misuse of language ;)

I'm incredibly pedantic about typeset. I really winds me up when people don't take care over the look of a document.

I am not a member of CAMRA but I am evangelical about real ale and micro breweries.

In the words of Groucho Marx, I don't want to be a member of a club that will have the likes of me as a member.

Cook books, reference books things like that, but I also like the look of big thick hardbacks... (oo-er, maybe you're on to something there!) Can't really explain, hence the oddity, if I had the time and ability to stay awake to read for hours on end it would make perfect sense.

Supporting Cambridge isn't a quirk; it's a recognition of natural superiority over Oxford. ;)

Love creamed mushrooms on toast. Whenever I've told anyone about this they think it's incredibly strange. Maybe it is...?

Ever since I had my first turntable, I've almost always played the 'B' side of a new record before the 'A' side. That goes for singles and albums.

I have never liked a corn beef butty but do like corn beef hash, as well as corn beef and tomato baked in dough. I like a peach but not tinned peaches. My wife loves baked beans but in a dish when having a cooked breakfast. She just cannot stand having baked beans on the same plate.

Dislike all nuts, but love anything with Marzipan and also drinking Amaretto when the mood takes.
