Those Aussies love a good moan! Looking forward to Tim Sheen's efforts in the build up to the World Cup.

I think for once this is more a complaint about the NRL. Melbourne are not the most popular club with the NRL who seem to go out of their way to make their fixture schedule as difficult as possible. They always have several players involved in Origin with short turnarounds to NRL fixtures which are often tricky away games.

So a coach being concerned about the welfare of his player, means he is moaning.

Nope, the fact that he's Australian means that he's moaningSo a coach being concerned about the welfare of his player, means he is moaning.

You can be sure that it won't be long before that Sheens insists that all of Australia world cup games are refereed by Australians, and that they play under NRL rules. Those Aussies love a good moan! Looking forward to Tim Sheen's efforts in the build up to the World Cup.

You can be sure that Sheens will do his best to make sure that Australia has officals that are Australian friendly like Aussie refs. He will come out with the same rubbish he came out with last time about Aussie refs being the best in the world. Funny though i thought the refeering was poor in the last NRL season, and a lot of Aussie fans did as well.In Australia

Was going to ask the same thing. Is it SL teams not wanting to play there or NRL teams enjoying British Cuisine? Why is the game not being played in Australia?

leeds & wigan offered to go down under...even warrington said they'd go down under if they won it......the blame for australia not hosting it can be laid squarely at the feet off the NRL clubs...

He's not complaining about the WCC or threatening to boycott it. He's complaining about the NRL. Personally, I think it's good that he's not doing the usual Aussie thing if talking down the WCC and calling it a distraction. It sounds more like he's saying he's concentrating on it, and the early round schedule will take a back seat.
But he's still a whinging Aussie!

That's a bit like the Liberal Democrats saying what they'd do if they got into power* - it's never gonna happen so they can say what they like
