Mick Nanyn?

Fat and scrum-capped, covers both threads.

Paul Grayshon (sp). The son of the former Bradford, Fev and latterly Batley player Jeff. Paul was bloody enormous.

I was at Post Office Road the day his dad levelled him and he had to go off.

Eric Grothe was a big man for a winger. Maybe him and Big Les could fill the sumo wing spots.

Both were shaded by Tony Banham R.I.P. who was played on the wing at Doncaster for a time by I think Bill Kenney.

I once played against Tony Banham, just after he had spent some time "away", and he was playing amateur rugby to get match-fit. He must have had twelve stone in his legs.

I could hardly get my arms round them to tackle him.

So naturally I didn't bother. ^_^

Well, he only scored about six tries, so I wasn't the only one.

You should have had former Hull FC full back George Robinson on loan for that game, Tony Banham never got past him.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....

"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Neil "Kello" Kellett and Hughie Waddell as props. Not sure they actually played at Sheffield at the same time, but they were both well padded, especially "Kello"

Owen Craigie 6, Bobby Goulding 7

Tony Kemp would eat Owen Craigie for the stand off spot.

Who was that Saints forward who was about 6 foot 8? I think he once deliberately headed the ball to set up a try, unless I have just made that up.
