Set to retire at the age of 23 due to his ongoing shoulder problems...Gutted for him!

A real shame, a very talented player who never had the chance to hit the heights because of injury.

Shame for Peds , great for us , carried us around in Mattys absence to the point no one mentioned him . That's the biggest compliment you can pay him . And great value in the commentary box !!! Welcome here anytime .

Hooker and fullback are key positions nowadays. Get quality there as they're always involved ... The NRL get their best at the back now .Lucky us as we're well served in those areas ! Fill in between them with a class half and your playmakers are set .

The lad had undoubted talent and we were fortunate to get probably his best season out of him. He is unfortunate that he appears injury prone and I hope he finds something to fill the void that his rugby will leave.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
