Even I say "I mean" a lot. Why? It doesn't MEAN anything. Why do I/we do it. I mean is it the new "So", or "innit"?

Another thing that's come along in recent years is people being interviewed and their response to a question beginning with "Yeah, no..."

yeyeyeh, (another pet hate, you sound like a monkey). And "loik". or "lake"..or like as we used to like spell it.
