i am surprised that salford isn't been debated on here like it is on most other forums. latest news suggests they are cancelling friendlies due to "injuries"
they along with a lot of other sl teams are a disgrace !

They have a Chairman that can't count, just like Bradford and Wakefield did.

Wakefield now have a Chairman that can count and look at them flourish, hopefully Bradford will do the same.

Hopefully Salford will find a Chairman that can count too, and soon.

It was always gonna happen sooner or later, we,d all like Luke Patten, Holdsworth, Moon etc but these top aussies dont come for nowt and on Salfords crowds of 3-4 thou the figures just dont add up.They,ve lived the dream for a long time but now comes the reality check.Afraid if they dont find 600k quick then its a Glasgow Rangers situation and for me should go into championship 1, where they,ll play though ive no idea.

Seen it before, we'll see it again until someone, somewhere gets a grip on reality..

Thought the whole idea of stopping P and R was to stop clubs overspending bringing over the over paid and over the hill Aussies so they could bring their own home grown kids through?.

Dont take any of this as gospel, Deano but the Sky deal was something around £90 million spread over 5 years till 2016 and guarantees each SL club around £1 million per season.
The current SL salary cap is 1.7 million, I think.

so if they were to use the whole cap, they would only have to generate 700k from gate reciepts, sponsership etc. i know they have to pay ground rent and travelling to away games ,but 700k doesn't sound much. what happened to the money raised from selling the old ground?
