I guess one problem is that the transfer market doesn't really exist anymore, with nearly all signings for the following season largely wrapped up by September or October.
Rather than discuss whether our team might splash out for a big name before the big kick-off, we're left with discussions in which the real rugby fans tell us which games they intend not to watch in the new season.

Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Championship should start on Boxing day with GF in August, with first 2 fixtures BD and NYD.

And the other "real rugby fans" telling them what games they should be watching.

They usually show a Super League season review on Christmas Day on Sky Sports, what happened to that this year?
It was on New Year's Eve.

I know. Doesn't seem right does it considering how well SL fans support the CC Grand Final day each year?Rather than discuss whether our team might splash out for a big name before the big kick-off, we're left with discussions in which the real rugby fans tell us which games they intend not to watch in the new season.
