Not sure how much this could effect the RLEF or the Italians. Hopefully the company can be saved first and then hopefully it can keep supporting the European scene in future years. I guess the RLEF is in a situation where it has to save money with the RFL, the parent group forced to make big cuts as well anda number of Nations having no money (Poland, Italy, Germany). Hopefully the finacial situation is not too badly affected for the groth of RL in Europe

Alitalia has been technically bust for years, surviving only on handouts from the equally bankrupt Italian govt.

Usual story, flog off the good bits to the fat cats and the taxpayer supports the rest.
However it has lost money for decades so will probably to the French in the end which will not be good news for the rugby.
