Sounds nasty. Hope he gets over it okay.

"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

Wow, bit of a shocker. Hope his recovery goes smoothly and we see him back in the side soon enough. But the main point being that he is healthy, rugby can take a back seat for now.

First I've heard of this. Hope he makes a full recovery as quickly and safely as possible.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Suffered a Pulmonary Embolism myself last year after breaking my ankle. Can be quite scary, but hopefully he'll make a full recovery and not need to be on medication for life, which could be a career-threatening issue.
Best wishes to him.

Whilst I don't have a major problem with all these press releases appearing on here, could you at least check whether the topic has already been covered?

I am glad it had been picked up before it got critical.
Was it found in pre-season screening checks?
Best wishes to him and I hope he gets back playing soon.

It shows the value of these tests - must be made compulsory for all pro clubs?
