Dewsbury Rams achieved two major milestones off the field during the festive period.
The Rams now have more than 1,500 followers on Twitter and 1,000 likes on Facebook, and the numbers are continuing to grow as the beginning of the 2013 seasons draws nearer.
Supporters following Dewsbury Rams on Twitter and Facebook receive news before anybody else and, throughout next season, will also be able to take part in exclusive Q&As with head coach Glenn Morrison and members of the Rams first team squad.
"The success of the Rams' social media presences is down to a number of factors," said club media officer Tom Coates.
"Our community coach James Stephenson has worked tirelessly in recent years to build up the Rams' online fan base, while our mascot Roger Ram engages with supporters online almost every day, helping to spread the word about the club.
"We try to interact with supporters as often as possible, and the arrival of Glenn Morrison as head coach has caused a real stir, translating into extra interest in the club online.
"A combination of the above has helped us to exceed our targets for the end of 2012."
