"Following a lot of hard work building up our presence on social media in 2012 we have at last a brilliant platform to reengage with those Leigh supporters who have lost touch with the club and those also who have decided to pursue Super League games even it means following other clubs!
We saw from last seasons game with Leeds Rhinos that those dormant supporters are still there and we know from feedback we received at the time, that they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were surprised with both the facilities and atmosphere of Leigh Sports Village.
Last Season, the 'Fetchbob' campaign worked for us - our supporters introduced friends and family to the club and many stayed for the full season and will be joining us again this year. The initiative assisted us during a difficult economic period and thankfully strengthened our core support.
'Fetchbob' will of course remain for the 2013 season, at the same time however, we will be be putting a great deal of effort into communicating with those past supporters (Who are still Leythers) to return to our games and to assist in helping us to grow the club further!"
How do people see this? The club have fluctuated between 1500 to 3000 speccies for 18 years now 2011 attracting 2248 roughly half way between, no great losses???
Are there fans who have switched in any great number? Are fans staying away (winning Rugby's been on the agenda for several years) why did the club drop by over 500 fans from last year to this (Ref: Gillette) etc.
It's an important thing for the club obviously revenue wise, but that IMHO stupid 2,500 criteria for SL entry was heavily short this last year. Any thoughts (apart from how to have a go at each other
