The 22-man BARLA Great Britain squad for the upcoming match against Barrow Raiders has been named.

The match, which will be played at Craven Park on Sunday January 13 (2.00pm), will be the squad’s first warm-up ahead of September’s tour to Australia.

Changes may be made to the squad ahead of departure as the coaching team of Paul Crarey and Tony Spence assess all eligible players.

“These are the players who’ll feature against Barrow, but we’re hoping to confirm another game for the early part of this year, which would provide an opportunity for those not in the initial squad to play,” said BARLA international executive manager Mick Turner.

“The squad for the match against Barrow is made up predominantly of Cumbrian players, but we’re keen to get a look at everybody over the next few months.

“Spaces for selection are still available and we will be looking to add players at the next Three Counties game.

“The Series has been played apart from the last game between Lancashire and Cumbria, which should have been played in December, but was postponed because of the weather.

“That match will now be played at Wath Brow on January 20, and it will provide a good opportunity for us to take a look at the lads.”

BARLA Great Britain 22-man squad to face Barrow:
Ryan Rogers (Pilkington Recs)
Sam Forester (Maryport)
Pat Foulstone (Dewsbury Celtic)
Mike Johnson (Skirlaugh Bulls)
Tom Moorby (Drighlington)
