Devon Sharks are pleased to announce that Prostate Cancer UK are now officially our new main shirt sponsors for the next two years. It is major coup for the Sharks in our bid to grow the clubs name, whilst supporting one of the leading men's health charities in the country.

We shall work closely with the charity over the next couple of years to raise money to help them continue the hardwork theythey do in their field. Prostate Cancer UK are sending out some fundraising ideas for us to work on, and for the players they are sending out some OPRO mouthguards to help cement the deal.

Ideas already muted are a Devon Sharks calendar, and of course the 'Clash of Champions' between the 2009 Champions, and 2012 Champions.

Imagine if in 1895 they had internet forums.............rugby league would not exist!

Who knows???

RFL have abandoned us, so Plymouth Titans, Exeter Centurions, North Devon Raiders, and ourselves, are doing it ourselves it would appear.

Hopefully another team can be found to enter our division, but now we have no development officers, or community coaches...... I doubt it.

No link up then with West of England which seems to be growing.

All Golds I believe will run West of England but don't think they're involved in South West.

The thing is, and what the RFL struggle to understand is...... Torquay is 100 miles plus to just Bristol. We are amateur clubs, and no matter how much good will we have, travelling distances like that after a hard working week is not realistically going to happen, especially for players with families.

Our nearest motorway is twenty miles away.....
