A good effort from an extremely makeshift Town team. We have 10 of our first choice 17 unavailable through injury and suspension so we had to call up 2 amateurs and our fitness coach (who is an ex player) to make up the numbers. Under the circumstances we didn't do too badly and it was only 16-6 after an hour.

Wakey fev 2nd half was 10 - 10. Fev off the pace first half but competed well 2nd half and forwarda showed up well

10 out of York's team today are eligible for the U20s team too. Injuries to Jason Golden & Luke Stenchion in the first half didn't help matters either.

Fair play to Crusaders though, they play some great attacking rugby! I Reckon they will win Championship 1 this season.

Why comment on a game you didn't attend? As far as you know we could of had our under 23s playing and wakey at full strength. But I will let you know wakey were full strength and we had half a dozen first teamers missing. But wakey were the best team today with out a doubt and what I saw of them top 8 is the minimum they will achieve this season I bet.

Wakefield ran riot in the first half against Fev and looked like scoring at will whenever they pleased.
A few interchanges at half time which saw Wakey fielding a front row with a combined age of 59, no Tim Smith or Paul Sykes either, a much more resolute Fev team for the 2nd half saw the game balanced up a bit more. Can't shake the feeling that Trinity put the cue on the rack but credit to Fev who look a very good team and have some handy players.

Hull had their second team playing in the first half and were still beating Castleford 10-6 at half time. Good to see we've got a bit of strength in depth.
