With bad weather forecast for the weekend how can I find out if the game is going ahead? I will drive up on Sunday. Im booked into the Hotel Imperial for next Sunday night. I stopped there last Sunday -they did me a cracking deal of £20 for B&B in a deluxe en suite room! As I checked out I asked them for the same room at the same rate for next week and they agreed.
If the game is cancelled I could do with cancelling in order to avoid paying.
What's the best way to find out?

I think Bearman you will have to wait till Saturday or Sunday morning at the latest. Its not looking good though. The forecast is ###### for the weekend

I've just checked on Laterooms.com and the £20 deal is still on at the Imperial.

My lad has football this morning and although the ground did have a slight crust on it,it was perfectly playable,no sign of any snow as yet either.
I reckon we are looking good at present.

There is a pitch inspection at 9am in the morning. This afternoon 98% was playable and Allan Park and Dean Marwood covered the dodgy areas with old gym maps to try to help the situation.

If the match gets the go ahead then there will be some work to do to sort out divots and ruts etc. Anybody who wants to help out with this should turn up at 9am or soon after.

I was down there 10 30am and 3 30pm today and it hadn't really improved too much between those times,AT THE MOMENT in my opinion its not quite playable (although not too far off being ok) as for 98% of the field being playable I think that's a bit genourous maybe I only walked on the 2% that wasn't good LOL,if the temperature raises a couple of degrees overnight however it will be on I would think,fingers crossed it warms up!
