A rather poor, but extremely tense match going on right now. British teenager Laura Robson is 4 games all in the final set against 8th seed (and former Wimbledon champion) Petra Kvitova.

Other Brit news - Andy Murray's breezed his matches so far, while Heather Watson plays tonight, against the 4th seed Agnieszka Radwanska.

Robson's home crowd must be cheering her on, though?

:D The Aussies'd love a decent young player, wouldn't they?

Robson serving for the match!

Looks likely to be the latest finish so far this year.

Wins 11-9.

Some good results from 'our' three non-LTA Brits in the past few months!

Both British ladies out now, but Murray still going strong.

Djokovic v Wawrinka was an epic match yesterday.

Year after year, know-alls confidently pronounce that Roger Federer is a spent force, over the hill etc.

Well, ask "next big thing" Milos Raonic, who's just been slapped aside in some considerable style. B)

That's a monkey off his back, having never beaten Federer in a Grand Slam.

Good luck to the Dour Scotsman who won the semi-final and will hopefully become first Smiling Briton to win this tournament for 80 years. © Daily Mail

However, do me a favour and wake me up when it's all over. For me, even TV bowls, rhythmic gymnastics and showjumping are more interesting.

I believe you like and admire the Tour de France.

Any debate you wish to have about unrelenting tedium will thus end in your defeat.

Other opinions are available, including mine. Which is, of course, the only valid one. :P

I was a bit annoyed that the BBC's Snooker coverage meant that this year they are only showing the singles finals of the Aussie Open, but I'm looking forward to them tomorrow and especially Sunday.

There is a fundamental difference between tennis and the Tour. In tennis, it's the spectators who have to take drugs to enable them stick it out to the end.

They showed the semi this morning, didn't they?

A last-minute change to the scheduled matches, as Murray was in it. Inprevious years, they've carry a couple of matches every day on the red button.
