Not sure where to put this, but anyway, a Halifax fan has had a serious accident in Thailand and needs our help. The family who I personally dont know, but I have friends that do, have released the following.

Extracted from the site
On 6th January 2013, Ricky O'Brien had a motorcycle accident on holiday in Thailand that left him in a coma. Unfortunately, Ricky's travel insurance had expired a couple of hours before ( after he had extended his holidays while staying with family in Northern Thailand). Now his family face escalating health bills to keep him alive. They need help to raise £40k for Ricky to receive the treatment he needs and get him back to the UK. All donations, however small, are gratefully accepted and if you're not able to donate, please share this information to further our cause. Ricky has had a brace put through his head, which is helping to keep his spine straight. The doctors think there is no spinal cord injury, and that it will eventually heal on it's own. He remains in a coma at this time, and other procedures are planned for tomorrow. He moved his head when his family spoke to him, and then again a few hours later when his friends spoke. We'd also love to here from local businesses about donations, and many thanks to the ones that have already been in touch. There Is Also A Fund raising night at the Halifax Irish club Halifax on 15th feb- £5 a ticket.. Band, raffle, auction (great prizes available). All money raised will be going towards Ricky O'Brien's Treatment,Tickets will be on sale this Friday
