The pro game is not in good shape and they are looking for the World Cup to pull them out of the mire .

Perhaps the super league licensing does not work going off this evidence .

Is rugby league sustainable as a full time professional sport anymore?

was it ever outside of probably 4 or 5 clubs

All professional sport is completely reliant on people willing to invest money with no return, What do you think the combined debt of top flight Union teams would be???
