Genuine and honest question...... HONEST!!

If this is a season long loan, is this more to do with salary cap??

I suspect him having had his number 12 shirt taken off him and handed to Farrell, then being farmed out on loan is not a salary cap issue!

My guess based on sources close to the player* is that he'll head down under, seemingly had his heart set on a move down under for a while.

I'm guessing if any of the major players in Super League wanted him they'd be putting together a player exchange to negate any salary cap restraints of there own.

*bloke down our street claims to have worked with Hock during his ban, a marginally more solid source than some tabloid RL journos use!

If Widnes get Gareth Hock, he will fire them up and they might surprise a few teams this season. They lack a bit of strength-in-depth but they've got class in key positions.

As widnes have a link up with Workington town I wonder if we will get use of him when he's not in their first team squad, he can sit on our bench to spell our best players.....
