I'm definitely not going back if Leanne Wood gets elected. Fortunately, there's very little chance of that.

Quite a big chance of Wales wishing to remain within the EU if Tory England votes to leave though.

That should be fun.

According the the British government the Chinese are not considered asian. Asian now seems to mean people from the Indian sub-continent.

So you say. Firstly the British government don't get to decide these things and secondly I've yet to hear of this from anyone but you.

But the middle east straddles three continents.

No, it does not.

No European country is part of the Middle East, some times Egypt is included but this is more to do with its influence on events in the region than anything else.

Cyprus?

What about it?

Who considers Cyprus to be in the Middle East?

I don't imagine that it is themselves nor the Arabs.

Turkey?

Turkey is not in Europe aside from half of Istanbul. The word "Asia" was invented to describe Anatolia. It is also debatable whether it is in the Middle East either.

It is listed on Wikipedia as being part of the 'Traditional' Middle East.

No, about 5% of Turkey's not inconsiderable area is in Europe.

Maybe so but Wikipedia is hardly the last word on anything.

It is certainly in West Asia. But whilst the Middle East is in West Asia not everything in West Asia is part of the Middle East.

My sources tell me about 5% - around the same size as Belgium.

And, incidentally, about 10% of Turkey's population live in the European part.

Belgium: 30,528 km2
Eastern Thrace: 23,764 km2 (out of 783,562 km2 total or 3.03%)

There is a better argument for saying that Russia is in Asia.

If there were a chance of returning a Lib Dem candidate locally then maybe and if virtually my entire life right now were not taken up with work and the increasing demands a special needs child is placing on me and the family then maybe again ...

There's all that handball to watch/tweet about too.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Yes.

Buducnost against Gyori this afternoon. Should be a good one.
