Hi all,
I am currently studying at Manchester Metropolitan University and for my final year project I am looking at community in rugby league and how it has changed over time. I am using Swinton Lions as a case study for this and would like to get fans views on how they view community in rugby league today. Any information on how you think players, stadiums, creation of super league, on pitch success or other factors have had an influence on community would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

Have you looked at the Swinton Lions Heritage Tales website. There will be a lot of things on there eg interviews where supporters etc talk about the comparison between now and yesteryear.

Matt. Good luck with the study. Rugby league deserves more academic research, especially into the semi-professional level of the game. I used to be community manager at the club in 2007 and 2008. Drop me a PM if you think I can help.
