Most of the snow has now been cleared from the pitch, only the uncovered grass and the perimeter of the playing area to be done. The covers still need to be removed and, no doubt, other areas treated so as to make the ground safe for the speccies. So help still required tomorrow ! If you can help, just turn up between 9.30 and 5.00 and lets make sure the game goes ahead. Thanks.

That's a great effort from all concerned, it's not easy clearing snow from a full pitch as I know from experience. Once in the late 60s I answered the call to go and help clear the pitch at the Athletic Grounds and after a long battle we had it cleared so the referee came out, took half a dozen steps and said "Frozen pitch - completely umplayable." and buggered off!!! We still got plenty of hot coffee and potato pie instead of a game.
Well done everyone.
